- School Supplies – It’s “Back to School” time and the Community Services Ministry is requesting school supplies. Boxes with suggested supplies have been placed in the foyer to collect your donations (Separate from the Shoe Drive box). Backpacks will be passed out to the community on Sat., August 8th after church. This will be done in the Community Service room in Everson Hall. If you have any questions, please contact Danise Ware, Community Service Leader.
- Shoe Drive – Every child deserves a new pair of shoes for the 1st day of school. Join Safe Haven in making a difference through their Mission 500 Shoe Drive! You can help by donating a new pair of shoes by Aug. 1st or volunteering to help distribute shoes on Sunday, Aug. 2nd, from 3p – 7p. A donation box is located in the lobby. If you’d like to make a monetary donation, you can do so via Zelle to donations@havenhealthcs.com. Receipts are available upon request. To volunteer, arrange a donation, or more info, contact Sis. Angela Rawls, 702.809.9478.
- Email Address – It seems quite a few people missed the memo a couple of months ago regarding our new church mail address: ablsdachurch@gmail.com…. Please DO NOT SEND EMAIL to the old coxmail address. Remember to change the ABL contact email address on your computers so when the autofill kicks in it reflects the new address.
- Fourth Sabbath – Don’t forget to bring a little extra something as the money from the Children’s Story (every 4th Sabbath) goes to help rescue a family from forced labor and abuse (slavery), in support of the Child Impact International Organization.

Three ministers are eating lunch. The 1st one says, “Guys, I need you to keep me accountable. Lately, I’ve been struggling with a dependence on alcohol. Every once in a while I’ll pull a bottle of whiskey from my bottom drawer and have a drink.”
The 2nd one says “Well guys, I’ve got to confess, I’ve been taking a little bit out of the offering plate and taking it to the horse track.”
Finally, the last one says, “Well guys….I’ve been struggling with gossip; And I’m going to tell everybody.”
